Jon & Ledah’s Wedding: A Mariposa Adventure

28 Jun

Our California Cruisin Adventure is complete! Mark, Ashley, Graham & I made it up to Mariposa on Saturday evening to celebrate Jon & Ledah’s wedding. They are friends of mine from College Avenue Baptist Church and San Diego State University. I was fortunate to be in New Orleans with Jon, Ledah and four other close friends on a rebuilding trip last June when Jon proposed. We had a wild night of celebration in the French Quarter and a trip to remember. Their wedding on Saturday was absolutely lovely and a perfect reflection of their relationship. It was located in Jon’s hometown at a friend’s ranch. They both have a little hippie in them so the mountain setting was perfect. In addition to the rustic decor, my favorite personal touch was the foot washing ceremony. Before they exchanged rings Jon & Ledah took turns washing each others feet. It was a simple but powerful act of service that exemplifies the love they have for one another. They are an amazing couple and I’m excited to see what the future holds!

With the wedding details aside I must acknowledge what a whirlwind weekend it was – 14 hours of driving in a 33 hour period. 880 miles total- WE DID IT!!

Sounded so pretty EM! I saw some of the pictures on facebook and it looked beautiful, my wedding is going to have some of that vintage/rustic/hippie flair, however, I think washing Aaron’s wouldn’t be as endearing as it probably was for John and Ledah….
