Easter 2011: An Urban Adventure

24 Apr

Easter normally consists of Peeps, church, family and lots of ham & mashed potatoes. However, this year Graham and I spent Easter in San Diego. Not having any family around – we were free to venture about as we pleased. We started out with a fabulous service at Flood, our home church, then set on a mission to get a few items checked off our wedding “to-do” list. Well, that mission was short-lived. Turns out just about everything is closed on Easter. So, we headed downtown to do one of our favorite things – playing tourist in our own city! A walk along the water front, oogling the massive yachts, relaxing in the lobby of a new hotel in town, walking across what has got to be the most interesting bridge in San Diego, grabbing some lunch and catching the last bit of the Farmers Market. As much as I absolutely love family traditions, I must say, it was fun to mix it up this year! Happy Easter, everyone! He is risen!

Such nice pictures. Glad to hear you had a great and relaxing Easter. Hope all is well.

By the way, what bridge is that? Maybe I should have played more of a tourist when I was there?! lol
